We are well on our way into 2025. Things are looking up and will be fast and furious as companies start picking up production. Because industries are still dealing with the supply chain issues of the past, it is even more important that companies take care of their most important assets, their electric motors. Lots of companies still “run to failure” or just pay attention to vibration and forget the other side of the coin, the electrical side. Making sure your vibration readings are inline is very important for the motor’s mechanical side but if the electrical side is not monitored it will lead to expensive repairs and lots of down time. That’s why TSG has an extensive service group to help you take action and keep a close eye on your motors using different test methods.

The table below shows how NFPA 70B 2023 views the use of electrical PdM technologies as part of the Electrical Maintenance Plan (EMP) as either specific tests or fundamental options for specific tasks, i.e. bolted connection checks and insulation resistance checks. Get to know 70B as it has several new wrinkles to the old guide.

If your operation has no electrical testing program TSG is here to help out during your run times and shutdowns. Give us a call, we are happy to help out.

If your operations have experienced electrical testing technicians, we are here to help take them to the next level. Last year TSG rolled out the only Electrical Motor Testing Certification in the US that is backed up by most of the prominent global motor testing equipment manufacturers.

There are several motor testing manufacturers that have their own training; however, it is limited to their equipment. TSG has independent EMT training that will help your technicians understand how motors work, power quality, data analysis, motor management and more. In all there are 5 certifications your testing technicians can achieve that are proven methods to take your operations to the next level.

So, no matter where you are in your operations TSG can help out. Let’s work together in 2025 saving your operations money and down time. “Our knowledge. Your Advantage”.
