Electric Motor Testing Training

Are you responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of electric motors?

The Snell Group’s Electric Motor Testing (EMT) courses will provide you in-depth training using commercially available Motor Circuit Analyzers. Learn to monitor and trend the condition of electric motors and supporting circuitry to reveal a potential wide range of hidden problems.

Snell’s motor experts have decades of experience in training and consulting using multiple test methods, including low resistance bridges, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, and more.

EMT training can be an essential part of your company’s condition monitoring/PdM program and is available in multiple formats using your preferred brand tester: in-person, (off-site, or on-site), or online (live with instructor, or self-paced). EMT training and Snell’s EMT Certification Program will qualify you to gather and interpret data, both for energized/dynamic motor testing as well as de-energized/static motor testing.

Electric Motor Testing Certification Process

The Snell Group offers a vendor-neutral EMT Certification Program that provides a certification path independent of the instrumentation or equipment used. The program follows a non-levelized structure and includes five distinct certifications based on the testing and monitoring capabilities of individuals or their companies: Electric Motor Testing Technician (EMTT), Electrical Motor Testing Data Analyst (EMTA), Electric Motor Testing Data Advanced Analyst (EMTAA), Motor Power Quality Analyst (MPQA), and Electric Motor Reliability Manager (EMRM).
