Happy New Year from The Snell Group!  2024 was filled with improvements including our new Electric Motor Testing (EMT) certification program and increased field service offerings.  Expect even more advancements in 2025. 

New in 2025 The Snell Group will be offering Power Quality Analysis training.  This training will support another component of the EMT certification model and/or provide the information necessary for conducing power quality testing at your facility.  Electric Motor Testing (EMT) training and service has long been a key offering for The Snell Group.  During energized motor testing a snapshot of power quality data is captured to support circuit and motor analysis/health.  True PQ analysis requires longer capture duration and varying capture conditions.  From this data issues such as; power sag and surge, harmonic distortions, transients and noise can be captured.  Power factor can also be determined from power quality measurements providing an insight to energy efficiency.  Many facilities have power quality issues and may not even be aware.  The equipment used to perform this type of testing is more affordable than ever.  With proper training and experience this can be a very effective component for monitoring electrical system health. 

Don Donofrio, our EMT Method Level III, has been developing this new training to support the certification module and our customers needs.  To support him in this endeavor The Snell Group would like to proudly announce the addition of a new team member, T.J. Garten.  T.J. is a CMRP and has years of electrical reliability experience, including EMT, power quality and infrared.  In addition, T.J. has significant project and personnel management experience.  We are very excited he is on our team.
